Richard Bauckham has launched his own website, and it is well worth a visit: http://www.richardbauckham.co.uk.

Professor Richard Bauckham is, perhaps, one of the most exciting New Testament scholars of our generation—and it is a privilege and delight that we are colleagues in the same institution, Ridley Hall, Cambridge. Richard is a self-effacing man, but he has immense learning, and is as widely read as anyone I know.

He retired from university teaching at St. Andrews a couple of years ago, moved to Cambridge, and has concentrated since then on writing, research, and a limited lecturing load at Ridley Hall and other places. This year Richard will deliver the C. F. D. Moule Memorial Lecture at Ridley. This was instituted several years ago in memory of one of Ridley and Cambridge’s greats, Professor Charlie Moule, mentor in his time to the likes of N. T. Wright and Rowan Williams, among others. Previous Moule lecturers have been Bishop N. T. Wright and Professor Jurgen Moltmann.

Richard Bauckham’s book, “Jesus and the Eyewitnesses,” is world-acclaimed, and won him the 2009 Michael Ramsey Prize.

For another side of the man altogether you will find the text of a couple of his MacBear books for children!
