I grew up the son of a United Methodist Pastor, and at an early age knew I wanted to be involved in the life of the Church. Serving on the staff of an evangelical GenX church in Colorado Springs after graduating from Purdue University in 1999, I developed and ran that church’s youth programs until deciding to attend seminary to pursue a career in theological education. I then attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake forest, NC for a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. After finishing seminary in 2005, my wife Jackie and I spent a year teaching English in Japan, where I figured out I was truly an Anglo-Catholic at heart and wanted to live out my vocation in the Anglican Communion. Having recently earned a Master of Theology in the Ancient Eastern Church from St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary just outside New York City, I am currently finishing my formal education with PhD research on St Augustine of Hippo at the University of Durham in the UK, and enjoy serving at St Oswald’s parish church in Durham Diocese in the Church of England.
